Figure eight knot hairslide (ph15)

Pewter knotwork design hairslide with rhodium-plated stainless steel sprung clasp.
This hairslide has been made by being cast into a rubber mould and then carefully hand-worked and polished. The clip on the back grips the hair tightly to prevent the hairslide from slipping out.
The Celts used knotwork to decorate many of their artifacts. To them, the intricate patterns woven into spirals and knots symbolise the continuity of life.
