Viking oval buckle (bu41)
Pewter with intricate embossed design. This buckle has a hinged bar for the belt to clip onto and the other end has a strong prong to push through the hole in the belt.
The design of this buckle was taken from an oval Viking brooch which was found in Sweden and is now preserved in The Royal Historical Museum of Stockholm.
